COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM MONDAY 28 APRIL

IN AIRDRIE LIBRARY AT 7PM

Ken chaired the meeting in Jay’s absence.
It was decided not to bother about the two way radios meantime.
Kenny stated that there were only weekdays left available for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. It was decided to put a sheet round the bus for Thursday 7 August, price £16. If it turns out we can’t get booked and there is enough interest, we will try and book early for next year.
Easter weekend at Ullapool went well with great weather and good walks and thanks to Chic McAulay for providing roasted cheese for his rambling friends on the Sunday night.
Ken to get in touch with ceilidh band to see if they are available for St. Andrew's night.
Ken will book with Fife Council for the barbecue area at St. Andrews.
John stated that we will have to organise the navigation course soon. Those interested are : Mike Ward, John McLaughlin, Ian McPherson, Jay Hunt and perhaps Patricia McMullen.
First Aid Course - those interested are Jim Muir, Kenny Weldon, John Jamieson and Christine McMahon.
It was agreed that we should take the bus across on the day of the Millport walk as the cost will work out just about the same.
Due to unavailability of the bus, two walks will have to be changed:-
Saturday 14 June to Sunday 15 June (Loch Eck) and Saturday 9 August to Sunday 10 August (Killiecrankie Circular), Christine will produce a note to give out on the bus.
The charge for Arran will be £12 per head (£6 children) - the rest will be subsidised by the club.
Jim will put a note in the “Advertiser” regarding any social events.
Kenny has suggested a 60s/70s/80s disco / karaoke - a sheet will be put round the bus to see if there is any interest.
John J produced the UVAF form where we can apply for equipment and expenses for volunteers. It was suggested we could perhaps apply for funds for GPS equipment.
Ken has asked John if he could possibly produce the Winter programme earlier as Ken will be on holiday for most of September.
