The meeting for June 3 has been moved to June 10 due to the Jubilee holiday.

Ken stated we are losing money on the buses (£371 over the last 6 weeks). We will now have to use the minibus whenever possible. This will be emphasised to members on the walks stating that members should put their names down for walks and also cancel as soon as they possibly can.

Increasing the fares was discussed but it was decided to wait and see how things go with using the minibus.

We will have to keep up with the recruitment campaign, with more articles in paper and a group photo. A3 sheets are available from the RA. Christine will order these.

John stated that we will probably need the bigger bus for Arran with the price being between £12-£15 for the whole day. John J will also book a bus for Rothesay to take members to the West Island Way walk.

Food and drink for the barbecue was discussed. It was decided to purchase new barbecues. Elizabeth stated that she has a new walk which will take no more than 3 hours.

Social events were discussed, suggestions were the Falkirk Wheel, pony trekking and an evening boat trip on Loch Lomond. Kenny will find out more about the boat trip and provisionally book for Friday 2 August.

John J discussed the lottery application. He has been advised we can apply for a grant to help with mileage expenses, training for navigation and first aid courses. He has meeting arranged to help with filling in the application form.
