32 members enjoyed the evening outing to Largs, with good meal at the Willowbank Hotel, followed by a couple of drinks in the town.

Xmas Party Night - Kenny will enquire at The Tudor and Georgian for availability for party night either Fridays or Saturdays.

A Xmas lunch was also suggested with a short walk, possibly at the Falkirk Wheel. Jim will find out about prices etc at the Copper Top and Dutch Inn.

It was suggested we have the ten pin bowling tournament at the beginning of October. Kenny will book this.

A new venue will be required for next year's ceilidh.

John J has suggested a walking holiday abroad next year. John J and Jackie will make some enquiries.

John handed out the draft winter programme. He will make final changes for next meeting. He also mentioned to Jim that Gordon Wilson doesn't want his number in the Advertiser for his walk in September.

Ken has received queries about the lottery application and has written back explaining about the volunteers expenses.

John J has suggested trying to encourage younger people to join the club. Jackie suggested putting programmes in secondary schools.

A discussion took place on whether members should have priority on walks. It was decided it should now be on a first come, first served basis and this will be amended on the notes at the back for the winter programme.

The barbecue turned out to be a rainy day this year. Unfortunately no games took place due to the weather. Ken stated that we had made a profit at the barbecue of £153.73.

Pat mentioned the Committee for next year. He will be resigning as Chairman but staying on the Committee. Elizabeth has still to decide whether to stay on and Jackie will take on the Treasurer's job. Everyone else will be staying on the Committee.
