Ken’s suggestion for a walk after the Area AGM on 23 January 2010 : Cairnhill out towards Calderbank and then down by the canal.

September weekend has been confirmed at Aboyne near Ballater. Also, details have now been put on the website for all forthcoming social events.
Easter weekend will be decided at a later date, one suggestion so far from Jim is to go to the Antrim Glens in Northern Ireland.
Douglas mentioned that we had to pay Millers Coaches an extra £55 for the Ben Cruachan / Kerrera walks, as Brian was only told that we were going to Dalmally (for Ben Cruachan) but Kerrera was further on past Oban.
Re the Ben Cruachan walk, Liz H. mentioned that Jean Jordan was taken back down the hill by Maureen after she fell and hurt her head. Liz has therefore suggested that a procedure be put in place so that at least two people accompany someone back off a walk when an injury occurs, especially if a head injury is involved. She will check with the Ramblers Associaton to see if there are any guidelines for dealing with these types of incidents. It was also suggested that an accident book be purchased to log any future incidents.
The 'Airdrie Advertiser' had the wrong date for the walk last weekend but Jim had given them the correct information.
