COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM MONDAY 3 FEBRUARY 2003

IN THE "IMPERIAL BAR", AIRDRIE AT 7PM

Present : Jay Hunt, Ken Paton, Christine McMahon, Jim Muir, John Young, Pat Malone, Kenny Weldon

John mentioned that John J can't lead his walk on 23 February. John McLaughlin/Mike Ward may be able to lead it but they haven't decided yet. Christine is also unable to lead her walk on 8 March. John will find a replacement.

The ceilidh was discussed, there are still some tickets left. Christine and Kenny will contact members who have still to pay to ensure they are still coming along. Christine will bring along raffle tickets and paper cups, Jim bin bags and Ken tablecloths. The committee to bring extra food for the band.

Jay has provisionally booked 12 places at the hostel in Ullapool for Easter weekend.

The Area Council meeting has been changed to Saturday 22 February in Elmbank Chambers.

Pat mentioned that some people were asking why we had to start walks at 9.00am. It was decided to keep the walks in the Winter programme at an 8.30am start to avoid confusion.

John handed out a draft of the Summer programme. This was discussed in detail with the committee members choosing the walks they wanted to lead.

Any suggestions for Summer social events to be discussed at the next meeting.

The Summer programme was discussed. John has most of it complete.
