COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 8 FEBRUARY 2005
IN THE "IMPERIAL BAR", AIRDRIE AT 7PM

Ken still to find out prices for badges for the 20th anniversary.
Still some ceilidh tickets left. Donations to be asked for raffle prizes on next walk.
20th Anniversary
Maureen to find out about hiring the hall for the 20th anniversary at the Drumpellier Loch Visitors Centre during one of the days in July when there are no walks on.
David suggested doing part of the Heritage Trail first before the social event in Drumpellier. Once this has all been decided a note will be put in with the summer programme.
Jay has spoken to Betty Neilson who may be able to get photos from Douglas Fermie’s son. Alan Ward will be producing a short video as well. It was also suggested that we ask Bob Cameron to do a speech at the event.
Access Festival - Sunday 20th March
To publicise the above, Jay’s article re the festival walk will be handed out in the next walk. So far he has invited the police, farmers, health checks will be available and Roman soldiers will also be there.
David to price bus for the above walk and the cost for anyone attending on the bus may be reduced due to the short distance.
John has been approached re a night out at the Grand Old Opera in Glasgow. Willie will look into this.
Other social events for the summer programme to be decided at the next meeting.
David has proposed that to replace reccie expenses all leaders are not to be charged on the day of their walk. This will be discussed and decided upon at the next meeting.
