COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 10 JANUARY 2006

Easter Weekend – may have to be changed from Skye as finding difficulty booking accommodation. Jay and Fiona will look into further accommodation. Other suggestions are Knoydart, Aviemore, Braemar. To be decided before next meeting.
"Grand Old Opry" – 34 going at the moment. Cost will be approx £10 plus bus fare. Willie will contact everyone nearer the time to confirm arrangements.
Ceilidh tickets are now on sale. Willie and Liz are selling them on the bus. Clyde Valley have taken 21 tickets and other groups to be contacted.
Jay has sent out a newsletter to all members. The next edition will go out with the Summer programme.
David advised the Group is to receive £129 to help towards reccie expenses. David has now sent away the forms to transfer over to Unity Banking.
The summer programme was discussed. Some suggestions were Aonoch Eagach Ridge, Crinan Canal and Arthur’s Seat, possibly along with a meal after the walk. A discussion took place on how often the walks should be in the Summer. It was decided the walk frequency would be every week until the end of June and then every two weeks in July and August.
Christine mentioned Xmas overnight at Newtonmore. She is awaiting details from the "Highlander Hotel" re dates and prices.
