COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 11 JANUARY 2005

IN THE "IMPERIAL BAR", AIRDRIE AT 7PM

 

 

Present : Christine McMahon, Ken Paton, James Muir, Willie Murphy, Jay Hunt, John Jamieson, John Young, David Dunn

It was decided that David will be paid £100 from the Lottery Fund for his work for the navigation course.

 

The ceilidh tickets are now on sale. Willie and Christine have some and also Kenny Weldon in case anyone gets in touch with him.

 

The bowling on 28 January - As there isn’t much time until the 28th January, Willie to find out at Coatbridge for the following week as some people felt M&Ds was too far away.

 

20th Anniversary - A sheet for favourite walks will be put round the bus as well as the sheet for any other suggestions. Jim will put a general article in the advertiser nearer the time.

 

John Y will contact Alan Ward to see if he has a video and/or pictures to use on the night.

 

A discussion regarding the purchase of badges took place. It was decided to give out fabric badges to everyone and sell the metal badges for £2. Ken to find out price of these.

 

Further decisions about the anniversary to be made at next meeting.

 

Access Festival - Sunday 20th March : Jay mentioned the access festival for the Kelvin Valley Walk. This is a festival for the new access rights and this will take the place of the walk on Saturday 19th March which will now be put in the summer programme.

 

Jay will put an article in writing which will be sent to all members at the same time as a notice regarding the 20th anniversary.
