COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 12 JANUARY 2010
IN COATBRIDGE INDOOR BOWLING CLUB, AT 7.15PM
Present : Douglas Bryson, Christine McMahon, Ken Paton, David Dunn, Liz Hunt
Apologies : Jay Hunt, Liz Cushley, Margaret Murray, Maureen O’Donnell, James Muir
The ceilidh in the Bowling Club was a great success, despite low numbers. A profit of £106.60 was made. The band were also very good and we will probably use them again.
The bowling night was another successful night with Brian our driver being the winner. It was suggested that a better trophy be bought for next year which can have names put on and passed round each year. A smaller trophy could be also being given out to keep.
It was suggested that we try the Bowling Club for our next AGM instead of the Arts Centre.
The Summer programme was discussed. Suggestions to be brought along to next meeting for walks and social events. It was decided more money should be charged for the next barbecue.
Liz H. looking for volunteers to help out at the Area AGM which we are hosting. Christine and Margaret will help at front desk with Liz H. Ken will lead the short walk which will start at the Town Hall. Topics for discussion will be around the restructuring of the new Areas. Dennis Canavan MP will also be speaking at the meeting.
Easter weekend was discussed. It was decided to try the Isle of Mull. Christine will prepare details to be passed round the bus and Jim will place note on the web site.
