Jay welcomed Liz Hunt onto the committee.

The AGM went well with more members attending than in previous years. This was mainly due to the photographic competition and a slide show from Allan Ward on the summer walks in the Lake District.

We have now received cheque for £1300 from the 'Awards for All' scheme. A computer and printer has been bought for Christine (with broadband still to be set up) and a printer for Ken. Any monies left over will go towards a contribution to Jim for a laptop and any stationery that any committee members require.

The Navigation course has still to be confirmed. Liz H. will ask at the Area meeting she will be attending about leaders' courses for ramblers.

Liz H. and Jay will attend the Scottish Council in March.

Tickets for the disco on 21 February will be on sale from the next walk. A sheet will be passed round the bus to see who is interested.

First aid kits were discussed again. Christine will purchase small ones from the Pound Shop, which can then have additional plasters and blister pads added to them as required. Any other kits that leaders have can be added to as well.

It was decided to try and hold a St Andrew's ceilidh on Saturday 28 November. Venues and a new ceilidh band to be investigated.

The proposed Area sub-divisions were discussed. Our view is that the Area should either be left as it is or split into two regions. Jay will get back to Barry Pottle re our views.

Ken and David are currently taking any suggestions for walks for the summer programme.
