COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 7 JUNE 2005

IN THE "IMPERIAL BAR", AIRDRIE AT 7PM

 

 

Present : Christine McMahon, Ken Paton, Willie Murphy, John Young, Maureen O'Donnell, David Dunn

 

Apologies : Jay Hunt, James Muir, John Jamieson

David advised that the coach funds are now low and money will have to be transferred out of another account.

 

The European Community Fund was mentioned. John Jamieson will be asked if he knows anything about this.

 

Re first aid kits Ken to ask Robert if he would mind keeping a couple of first aid kits to pass on to each leader.

 

Christine has purchased folders for new leaders but has still to get the first aid kits.

 

Ceilidh - Ken mentioned the Town Hall will be closed due to refurbishment in October so another venue will have to be sought. John has suggested the Gartcosh Club although a bus would be required if we used this venue.

 

20th Anniversary

 

Ken had shown the badges to most of the committee and these will now be ordered.

 

Maureen will confirm the Visitor Centre is booked from 3.30-9.30pm.

 

Christine will produce an agenda for the day to send to former members and also to pass round the bus on the next few walks.

 

John mentioned that Allan Ward is still looking for old photographs to put in the video, also Alistair Doyle has still to hand in photographs as well.

 

As David only returns from holiday on the 23rd John has agreed to lead the walk which will start at 2.45 in Calderbank. David mentioned that the bus for this will be free.

 

The events for the day will be :-

Walk from 2.45 for approx 1½ - 2 hours,

Drumpellier Park -
Introduction from Jay,
Story or speech from Bob Cameron,
Video by Allan Ward,
Display of photographs old and new,
Presentation of badges,
Buffet and drinks.
