COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM MONDAY 10 JUNE 2002

IN AIRDRIE LIBRARY AT 7PM

The total cost for the Rothesay walk will be £12/£6 for children to cover the cost of the bus, ferry and hire of bus on Rothesay.

 

It has been noted that we are still loosing money even using the minibus on walks. After discussion it was agreed that the bus fares would be increased to £7 and £8 on longer haul walks. This will take effect from Saturday 22 June. Christine will prepare a note to hand out to members.

 

The barbecue was discussed. Ken will purchase the drinks and order the rolls, John J. will find out about sausages, Christine will purchase any other items like crisps etc. The cost of the barbecue will be £10/£5. We will also have a raffle on the bus. Jim Dunlop has offered to bring a barbecue.

 

Social events - Kenny stated that the Loch Lomond boat trip would be too expensive. It was decided to try an evening trip to Largs with a high tea and/or the bowling. A note will be put round the bus to see what interest there is. John J. will advise Christine of a hotel in Largs we can use for the high tea.

 

John J. discussed the lottery application. We are applying for just over £4,600. Pat will sign and complete the form and send it away shortly.
