The first aid course was very successful. Bob Clark will run another course if we require focusing on bandages etc. He only took a donation of £30 for the course and will send invoice for the first aid books. He showed us Velcro slings that can be purchased.

It was decided that as the summer programme was fast approaching, we will leave the navigation course until September.

The ceilidh was a huge success with a profit of nearly £1,000 being made. It was decided we will hold another ceilidh on Saturday 9 October. Ken will check availability with band and Christine will check town hall in Kenny’s absence. It was also decided tickets would be on a first come first served basis with so many being kept for other groups. A note will be put in with the Summer Social sheet informing everyone of this. Christine will send thank you letters to the Hilton for the lunch voucher and the Livingwell Health Club for the memberships.

Patricia and Christine felt that the duties were unfairly distributed at the ceilidh. We will have a rota for the next ceilidh. We shall decide on a better way to do raffle tickets ie sell tickets for £10 which includes 2 free raffle tickets or place vouchers on each table for people to purchase.

Willie will continue to bring out football cards on some walks to raise funds.

Summer social events were discussed - A quiz night in May, sail at Balloch in June, another bowling night but using M&Ds in Motherwell as the service at Coatbridge was poor, probably end of August. Christine can also get tickets for Tattoo, last performance on Saturday 28 August, price to be confirmed (approx £25 includes bus from Airdrie/Coatbridge).

Ken produced the summer programme. There were a couple of alterations with committee members choosing walks to lead.
