COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 12 MAY 2009
IN COATBRIDGE INDOOR BOWLING CLUB, AT 7.15PM

The navigation course has been postponed until October.
The barbecue was discussed and it was decided to charge for the bus and food and drinks will be free.
It was suggested that we pre-book the Power Station at Cruachan and Ken will check times for the Power Station and sail to Kerrera.
David will check out day/evening sail at Ratho. Dates suggested 11/12 July or 8/9 August.
As well as posters at 'Go' in Coatbridge, Liz H. mentioned that they will also sponsor us for the Ladies Munro Day. Liz also has posters for this to be circulated in the area.
Liz H. mentioned that Elaine Smith MSP was intending to get GPs on board to promote walking for a healthy lifestyle.
Ken has a price for a ceilidh band at £475. Buffet price for the bowling club starts at £4.60 per head. Price of tickets to be £10-£12.
Christine to book the Highlander Hotel at Newtonmore for Saturday 19 December.
Douglas stated Miller's could not provide a bus for the 30 May or 13 June walks. Other bus companies to be checked for availability - McCreadies coaches were suggested as a possibility.
Douglas mentioned that we have lost £275 during the last five walks. The average number of walkers is under 23 at the moment whereas it was nearer 25 last year - we need more people on the walks.
The next two meetings at the bowling club will be on Mondays;i.e. Monday 8 June and Monday 10 August.
