Jim is sending in a small description of the walks to the Sports Section of the "Advertiser" each week.

Pat stated that the library will be closing after December for refurbishment. A new venue is to be found. Kenny will check some places in Coatbridge. We can still use the library for the next meeting.

The dates for the committee meetings over the next year were discussed - Christine will type out a note for everyone.

Ceilidh - Kenny has sent in the form to book Airdrie Town Hall for Saturday 15 February. He is still awaiting a response. It was decided we shall state on the tickets to bring own food and drink and price the tickets at £8.

John J has suggested we write to some of the outdoor shops for donations for the raffle. Jim suggested asking if they would like to sponsor our programme and in return we can put the shop logo on the website and/or ceilidh tickets. Christine will write to some outdoor shops.

Jay passed round letter received from Helen Liddell congratulating us on receiving lottery grant.

Jay produced his action plan, which mainly pointed out suggestions to avoid any more upset when two walks are on.

The outing at the Imax Theatre to see a film on Everest arranged by John was enjoyed by everyone who attended and was followed by a meal at Harry Ramsden's.

Elizabeth suggested we should try and recruit more female committee members throughout the next year.

John J suggested that we try the Ghost Walk in Edinburgh again. It was decided we will try this for the end of January.

The two-way radios were discussed. Ken has been looking up web sites for prices, 5 mile range costing £119. We shall purchase three, one for Robert. Elizabeth will contact Bob Sharp to see if he can advise on which radios the Mountain Rescue Teams use.

Jim suggested that the list of members' mobile phone numbers should be updated.

Jay suggested we invite all leaders to the next committee meeting on 2 December to discuss general leadership skills. Christine will write letters to all leaders enclosing the leaders guideline notes. The course will take place at 7.00pm before the committee meeting starts.
