COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 4 OCTOBER 2005

IN THE "IMPERIAL BAR", AIRDRIE AT 7PM

 

 

Present : Christine McMahon, David Dunn, James Muir, John Jamieson, Maureen O' Donnell, Willie Murphy

The AGM will take place on Monday 7 November in the Airdrie Arts Centre at 7.30pm. John Jamieson will be leaving the committee, proposed new members will be Liz Cushley and Fiona Thomson. Christine is currently collecting the nomination slips.

 

For Xmas 2006 an "Easybreaks" or other option will be looked at for a night away with party night. Christine and a few other members are going to Newtonmore this year for an overnight stay and she will look into this for next year.

 

The ceilidh is booked for Saturday 8 April in Airdrie Town Hall. Ken will have the tickets available in the next few weeks.

 

"Grand Old Opry" will take place some time in February.

 

Easter weekend to be discussed at next meeting, although so far Skye seems to be the choice.

 

David has suggested an increase in fares. This was agreed and will be implemented in the Summer 2006 programme.

 

It was also suggested to purchase more maps and compasses out of the RA fund.
