COMMITTEE MINUTES FROM TUESDAY 13 OCTOBER 2009
IN COATBRIDGE INDOOR BOWLING CLUB, AT 7.15PM
Present : Douglas Bryson, Christine McMahon, Ken Paton, Liz Cushley, Liz Hunt, Margaret Murray, Maureen O’Donnell

The Winter programme has now been distributed.
Liz H. mentioned there will be a meeting in Glasgow on Saturday 28 November re subdivision of Areas. Liz will attend this meeting and anyone else who would like to go along. Decisions on the cutting of funds due to Scottish Office closing has still to be decided. Dennis Canavan MP is trying to raise £150,000 for Scottish Ramblers.
It was decided that a walk between 1 and 1½ hours would be sufficient for after the Area AGM. Part of the Coatbridge Heritage walk will be checked out for this.
Ceilidh tickets now being sold. Approx 40 interested but need more. Christine has emailed 3 other groups, waiting to hear how many tickets they may require. Liz H. will contact Advertiser in Jim’s absence.
A sheet will now be put round the bus for the bowling night.
September weekend at Aboyne in Ballater was a great success with great walks and good food.
An accident book will be purchased to record any future incidents.
Liz H. suggested arranging a stall at say Asda possibly Saturday mornings to generate more interest in the Club.
The Area are having a weekend next year to Dunoon. 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast, plus transport for walks and also a ceilidh included. Liz C. will copy details and pass round bus.
The Area AGM will be held at Airdrie Arts Centre. Allan Ward to be contacted to remind him of DVD he will be showing.
