Discussion took place re social events for the Winter. It was decided to have a 70s / 80s disco, probably in February, in place of the ceilidh and to have a ceilidh for St. Andrew's night in 2009. This will give enough time to find an alternative ceilidh band. Liz knows of a ceilidh band and will find out the price.

Willie will get information re bowling.

Application presently being completed for "Awards for All" for computer and stationery items.

Jay mentioned that Bearsden Ramblers received an award for £3,000 for anniversary events.

Gordon Wilson is continually complaining about slow walkers on hills. It was decided that the best way to deal with this is for him to send his complaint in writing.

A photographic competition will take place at the AGM together with a slide show from Allan Ward. Airdrie Arts Centre has been booked.
