About James Muir....

Hello, my name is James Muir and I live in the town of Polmont in the Falkirk Council area of Central Scotland. I work as an Information Systems Analyst with Standard Life in Edinburgh. I am married to Linda and our first baby, Rebecca, was born in August 2001. Our second baby, Callum, was born in March 2005. My interests (apart from Linda, Rebecca and Callum!) include hill-walking (I am a committee member of a local hill-walking club), radio and telecommunications, travelling (mainly driving), reading, music, Celtic Football Club (on and off!), the Internet, and computing in general.

I am a former student of the University of Strathclyde where I gained a B.Sc Mathematics degree and a post-graduate diploma in Finance and Accountancy. I have spent the last fifteen years working in the Scottish life assurance industry and during that time I have also gained the full Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) qualification.
